These terms apply when you use needaconnect.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What this site currently is

We will confirm what is attainable, timing, and any costs before arranging paid work or a purchase.

Your first Connect free

The first-Connect offer waives NeedaConnect's feasibility, sourcing, and coordination fee for one initial request per person or contact method. It does not make goods, tickets, provider labor, delivery, transportation, or other third-party charges free. Any such cost will be quoted separately and must be approved before it is incurred. The offer may be changed or withdrawn for abuse, duplicate requests, or after the pilot period.

What we do, and what we don't

NeedaConnect is a managed connection service. We introduce people who need something done to independent professionals, access partners, and businesses that may be able to help. During launch, requests must be located on Manhattan island.

We are not the provider. We don't perform services, we don't employ the people who do, and we don't supervise their work. Providers are independent businesses and individuals. They set their own methods, carry their own licences and insurance, and are responsible for the work they do.

The agreement to do a job is between you and the provider. We're not a party to it.

What "vetted" means here

We use the word "vetted" on this site, so here is exactly what it does and doesn't mean.

What we do:

• Check that a claimed licence number is real and current in the relevant public database
• Confirm with the carrier that a stated insurance policy is active
• Contact the references a provider gives us
• Run a background check where we've said we will, with the provider's written authorisation
• Speak with the provider before listing them

What we can't do:

• Guarantee the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of any job
• Guarantee a provider's licence or insurance remains current after we checked it
• Predict how someone will behave in your home
• Continuously monitor providers between verifications

Verification is a point-in-time check, not a warranty. Use your own judgement, and tell us immediately if something is wrong.

Using the site

You must be at least 18. When you use the site, you agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information
• Apply as a provider with credentials that aren't yours
• Use it for anything unlawful
• Scrape, copy, or republish content without permission
• Interfere with the site or try to break its security
• Submit automated or bulk form entries

If you apply to be a provider

By applying, you confirm that:

• Everything in your application is true and accurate
• You hold every licence, permit, and certification your trade legally requires in New York City and New York State
• You carry the insurance you claim, and it's active
• You will tell us promptly if a licence lapses, is suspended, or is revoked, or if insurance ends
• You are an independent contractor, not our employee, and you're responsible for your own taxes, insurance, tools, and compliance
• You authorise us to verify your credentials with issuing authorities and carriers

Applying doesn't guarantee acceptance. We can decline any application, and we can remove a provider at any time — particularly for false information, lapsed credentials, or unsafe conduct.

Any background check runs only with your separate written authorisation, and only through a screening company identified to you beforehand.

If you apply with access or on behalf of a brand

You confirm that your application is accurate, that you have permission to represent the relationships, inventory, access, or business you describe, and that any fulfillment will use lawful, authorized channels. NeedaConnect may verify or test a claim before making introductions. Applying does not guarantee acceptance or any minimum number of customer requests.

Fees

Submitting a request is free during the pilot, and the first-Connect offer is described above. Goods, tickets, labor, delivery, transportation, and other third-party charges are never included unless a written quote specifically says so. Future NeedaConnect fees will be shown before you agree to pay them.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to use it to operate and improve the service — for example, to work out which services to launch. If we ever want to quote you publicly, we'll ask first.

Everything else on the site — the name, text, design, and graphics — belongs to us.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information on it is complete or current.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, arising from your use of the site or from any dealing with a provider. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim — which, before launch, is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law says can't be limited.

Problems

If something goes wrong with a job, tell us — text or call 508-245-3559. We'll help where we reasonably can, including with the provider, but disputes about the work itself are between you and them.

If someone is unsafe or has misrepresented their credentials, tell us straight away and we'll act on it.

Ending access

We can suspend or end access to the site for anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop using it whenever you like, and ask us to delete your information under the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we'll give notice of significant changes before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
